Gilchrist County

When you think of Florida what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Most people say beaches, amusement parks, retirement homes, and sunburns.

The truth is Florida has a lot of interesting places unknown to most people. Gilchrist county for instance has over 62 natural fresh water springs alone the Santa Fe, and Suwannee River. That produces the most concentrated amount of fresh water springs in the world, With many fun activities for the whole family like canoing, fishing, camping, tubing, and hunting clubs .

With a wide variety of animals, birds, fish and even a occasional Florida alligator. This is a great place to see wildlife in it's natural environment.

  1. Enjoyed looking at your very nice photos. We travel the Suwannee River area from where it meets the Santa Fe southward to the gulf flats. It's a wonderful river. Maybe one day we can get further upstream or down Santa Fe to Ginnie Springs.
